wild goose chase dance is a project-based dance company. Artistic Director Susan Douglas Roberts – dancemaker / teacher / traveler / mentor / curator / community builder – has presented concert choreographies on five continents during the past 30 years. She identifies as a poet, and dance writers have called her work “elegant,” “mysterious,” “witty,” and “winsome.”

Highlights over the years include Measuring Time, a 2017 collaborative project with composer Gregory Biss and eight danceartists from across her career; work with Blaise Ferrandino through a NEA Meet the Composer grant awarded to Contemporary Dance/Fort Worth; breath to bone, a commission from composer Claudia Howard Queen; and festival performances in the USA, Guatemala, Taiwan, Paraguay, Canada, Mexico and France. She enjoys collaborative work with choreographers and dancers, composers, writers, photographers, and designers of film and stage at home in the US and abroad. Honors include Fulbright Specialist Awards in Taiwan and Guatemala as well as awards at TCU for teaching, artistry and community engagement.
